Myrtle Sarrosa



Myrtle Abigail Porlucas Sarrosa (born December 7, 1994) is a Filipina cosplayer and actress. On July 7, 2012, she was declared Big Winner ofPinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition 4.[1] She is the Sangguniang Kabataan President in her hometown Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo.[2][3]
Sarrosa is currently managed and under contract to Star MagicABS-CBN's home based talent agency. She is also the Official VJ or Anime Jockey of Hero (TV channel).[4]

Biography

Myrtle Abigail P. Sarrosa was born to Rodolfo Sarrosa Jr., a Filipino Politician born in Davao CityPhilippines but grew up in Barotac NuevoIloilo, and Fatima Porlucas Sarrosa, a Filipinaaccountant whose roots are from GeronaTarlacCentral Luzon and LiliwLaguna. Sarrosa was born and raised in Iloilo CityVisayas, Philippines with one older sibling.
At the age of 14, Sarrosa started participating in Cosplay Conventions and won several awards for Cosplaying in the Philippines. Sarrosa also became the Sanggunian Kabataan(Youth Council) President of her municipality, Barotac NuevoIloiloPhilippines in year 2010. Sarrosa is an Accounting Student of the University of the Philippines.[5][6]

[edit]2012: Pinoy Big Brother

Dubbed "Cosplay Cutie ng Iloilo", Sarrosa entered the house of Big Brother on Day 2 together with the other female housemates. On Day 91 at the Malolos Sports and Convention Center in Bulacan, she was declared the Big Winner after garnering a massive 33.92% percent of net votes and triumphed over Karen Reyes (11.91%), Roy Requejo (9.38%), and twins Jai and Joj Agpangan (9.26%).[2][7][8]

On August 2012, a month after Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition 4, Sarrosa launched her acting and recording career in the Philippines. Sarrosa joins the cast of the teledrama, Kahit Puso'y Masugatan together with her on-screen love partners, Kit Thompson and Yves Flores. Sarrosa and Young JV also released their digital single entitled "Your Name" which ranked Number 1 onMYX's, Myx Mobile Top Picks. On September 1, 2012, Sarrosa started her hosting career by becoming the Official VJ or Anime Jockey of Hero (TV channel). Maja Salvador


Maja Ross Andres Salvador (born October 5, 1988) is a Filipina actressdancermodel, and producer producer who is one of the latest in line of the showbiz clan of the Salvador family. She is currently under the management of ABS-CBN, and a member of Star Magic.

Early life


Maja Ross Andres Salvador was born on October 5, 1988 in Aparri, Cagayan, Philippines. Her father, Rosauro Salvador (popularly known as Ross Rival), was an actor. Her mother is Thelma Andres. She studied in San Benildo Integrated School and moved to ABS-CBN Distance Learning Center. She is a cousin to Jobelle Salvador (one of the casts of the Bagets movie) and niece of Phillip Salvador, a Filipino drama and action star. She is also a niece to Leroy Salvador, who was also an actor, and grandchild to the late Lou Salvador, a Filipino basketball player during the prewar era who has played for the Philippine national basketball team, later became an actor.

Career


Her showbiz career began in 2003. She also starred in the film, First Day High. In 2007, she starred in the romantic film, One More Chance, which also starred John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo.
In 2009, she was then cast in May Bukas Pa, a primetime drama series on ABS-CBN. She was the lead actress in Nagsimula Sa Puso, a remake of the 1990s film that previously starred Hilda Koronel in the role. She starred again in horror films via Villa Estrella and Shake Rattle and Roll XI, in the episode Ang Diablo.
She also starred in Impostor, with Sam Milby, in 2010. She starred in the horror film, Cinco, in the episode entitled, Mata
In 2011 she is one of the lead roles in Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin as Krista,the love interest of Alexander, played by Coco Martin who's also a star cast on Nagsimula sa Puso. She also played the titular role in Thelma, an independent film. She later joined the cast of My Binondo Girl.
In 2012, she currently stars in Lumayo Ka Man Sa Akin, alongside Jason Abalos and Patrick Garcia. She also starred in the movie, My Cactus Heart, with real-life boyfriend Matteo Guidicelli.[2]

Personal life


In 2011, Maja was caught in a controversy that led her to admit her then almost one-year relationship with Matteo Guidicelli. The latter and Maja's former loveteam partner, Coco Martin, had a brawl that happened during the Star Magic Ball last September 3, 2011 at the Manila Peninsula Hotel in Makati City. Maja also admitted on The Buzz that the cause of the rift was because of her. A week after, Matteo broke his silence on the same TV program. He relayed on the show that his relationship with Maja became stronger because of the event. At the start of 2012, the couple finally became more open about their love for each other during their interviews and guestings for their first-movie together and Matteo's first starring movie role, My Cactus Heart. Maja even shared to the general public that she hopes Matteo to be the man she marries when she's finally ready to settle down. However, the two broke up about six months after their movie was released. Maja then gave in her later interview that she and Matteo will only be just friends. [3]

Shaina Magdayao


Shaina García Magdayao (born on November 6, 1988 in Quezon CityPhilippines), is a Filipina actress, dancer, singer and model. She is currently under ABS-CBN Management and a member of Star Magic.

Career

Shaina Magdayao began her acting career when she was cast, at the age of seven, in the Philippine drama series Lyra, playing the lead character. She was included in the cast of the afternoon comedy programme Ang TV, and Kaybol before starring in ABS-CBN's afternoon drama series Marinella, playing the role of Rina.
In 2000, when Magdayao was 12 years old, she released a self-titled debut album with Star Records. The carrier single was "'Sayaw Sweet Lullabye".
In 2002, she starred in a weekend afternoon series, called K2BU and appeared in several drama series and sitcoms, while going to school. She started to participate school at home in late 2004. She won the Most popular Child Actress Award in the 2002 Guillermo Mendoza Awards.
Magdayao also starred in Laurice Guillien's 2003 film Tanging Yaman, where she won a Best Child Actress award from the Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences Awards. She has also received an award-winning role in Ang Tanging Ina. She had also received the Best Child Performer award from the Parangal ng Bayan in 1999, and Best New TV Personality in the 1999 Star Awards.
In 2005, she was included in the cast of the Philippine primetime drama series Ikaw Ang Lahat Sa Akin along with ABS CBN's brightest stars such as Claudine Barretto, Diether Ocampo, Angelika dela Cruz, Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz. She was also one of the lead casts of Erik Matti's television series, Rounin, under Chito Rono's direction, via ABS-CBN in 2006. She is part of the regular cast at ABS-CBN's Sunday afternoon show, ASAP. She starred in Kambal sa Uma, an afternoon drama series on ABS-CBN.
In 2010, she starred in her very first solo lead role in the afternoon soap opera Alyna. Magdayao recently starred in the OFW-themed series Kung Ako'y Iiwan Mo with Jake Cuenca.

Modelling

Magdayao began modelling for children's products including children's clothing company Garfield, as well as appearing in television commercials for Magnolia Chocolait, Lemon Squares Products and Goldilocks. She was also one of the youngest models ever for Ben Chan's clothing company Bench. She now models for the women's line of the same clothing company. She's also the model of Cose Teen Bags. She currently owns a branch of the family business Ystilo Salon, a 20-door apartment complex in Quezon City and a laundry shop.

Personal life

She is the youngest daughter of Enrique and Deanne Magdayao from Bogo, Cebu and is the youngest sister of Sharon Magdayao, popularly known as Vina Morales. She also has two older sisters named Sheila and Sheryl. She studied high school at the Angelicum College in Sto. Domingo, Quezon City.

Karen Reyes



Karen Mae Reyes (born October 17, 1996) is a Filipina actress. On July 7, 2012, she was declared Second Big Placer of Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition 4.[1] She is a typical teenager in her hometown Calapan, Oriental Mindoro before joining the biggest reality show in the Philippines Pinoy Big Brother[2] and finished as the second teen big placer next to Myrtle Sarrosa. Karen Reyes is currently managed and under contract to Star Magic,ABS-CBN's home based talent agency.

Career

Karen Reyes wears that smiling face after she went out of that large disco ball on PBB Teen Edtion 4 Uber 2012 where she was introduced as an official housemate. This bubbly girl was dubbed as the Hagikgik Chic ng Mindoro for her unusual laughter but deep inside, Karen hides the sadness. Her father died of a traffic incident and she became very emotional before she enters the PBB house. She said her goodbyes to her mother whom she will miss while staying inside Kuya's house.[4] After 90 days of staying inside big brother's house, Reyes was declared PBB Teen Edition 4 Second Big Placer! She got 11.91% of combined Save and Evict votes during the finale that was held on July 7, 2012 at the Malolos Sports and Convention Center in Bulacan. Reyes won P500,000 and other prizes, appliance showcase from Whirlpool and Fujidenzo, Sony Vaio laptop and Sony Cybershot digital cameras

Gerald Anderson



Gerald Randolph Opsima Anderson, Jr. also known as Gerald Anderson (born March 7, 1989, in Subic BayZambalesPhilippines)[1] is aFilipino American actor who was a former housemate on the first season edition of the Philippine reality television show Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition, and was best known for his roles in the teleseryes Sana Maulit MuliMy GirlTayong DalawaKung Tayo'y MagkakalayoWansapanataym:Rod Santiago's: Buhawi Jack, and Budoy.
He is currently managed and under contract to Star MagicABS-CBN's home based talent agency.

Career

Anderson was discovered by Joross Gamboa while the latter was performing in his hometown. Gamboa introduced him to his manager, Jhun Reyes, who then brought him to ABS-CBN to joinPinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition: Season 1.
Gerald Anderson launched his career in the reality TV series Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition. Anderson and the rest of the housemates entered the Big Brother house on April 23, 2006. After 42 days in the house, he was named as the Teen 3rd Big Placer in the show.
Six months after his win, Anderson, along with on-screen partner, Kim Chiu, appeared together in several ABS-CBN network shows, and in the film, First Day High. Anderson and Chiu also appeared in Love Spell and Aalog-Alog.
In 2007 Anderson and Chiu starred in their first lead roles in the primetime TV series entitled [[Sana Maulit Muli]], and in September Anderson and Chiu appeared in their first feature film I've Fallen For You under Star Cinema. That same year, along with Chiu they won at the 21st PMPC Star Awards for Television as Best New Male TV Personality for Sana Maulit Muli and the 38th Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation Box Office Awards with Kim Chiu.
In May 2008, he, along with Chiu, was part of the cast in the Philippine adaptation of My Girl, a South Korean TV series.
In 2009, Anderson starred in the primetime drama series Tayong Dalawa where he won his first "Best Drama Actor" in the NSUU TV Awards, Anderson and Chiu were awarded the Most Popular Loveteam for the third consecutive year by Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation Box Office Awards. In August of that same year he had his first leading role via Agimat: Ang Mga Alamat ni Ramon Revilla:Tiagong Akyat with Erich Gonzales.
In 2010, he starred in the movie Paano Na Kaya with Chiu. Anderson also became part of the cast of ABS-CBN's primetime drama, Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo and appeared in Your Song Presents: Isla alongside Pinoy Big Brother Unlimited ex-housemates. Anderson and Chiu later teamed up once again in October in the film Till My Heartaches End. That same month, it was reported that the long-time couple, Anderson and Chiu (known as Kimerald) had split for an unknown reason.
In 2011, Anderson worked with Sarah Geronimo for the first time in the film collaboration of Star Cinema and Viva Films titled Catch Me, I'm in Love which was shown on March 23, 2011 and on October 2011, Anderson did a comeback in a primetime series via Budoy. This is his first primetime television series without Chiu as his leading lady, instead he starred with Jessy Mendiolaalthough Kim herself supports the said drama as well as coincidentally having an adjacent timeslot with her own drama My Binondo Girl opposite Xian Lim. In November 2011, Anderson made another movie with Sarah Geronimo titled Won't Last A Day Without You.

Anderson has a passion for basketball. When asked what he would be if he didn't take up acting, Anderson stated that he would be a basketball player. In 2011, inspired by his role in Budoy, Anderson organized a charity basketball game event for the benefit of the kids with special needs.

Jessy Mendiola


Jessy Mendiola (born Jessica Mendiola Tawile; December 3, 1992), is a Filipino actress.

Career

Jessy Mendiola was one of the 18 new talents launched by ABS-CBN under Star Magic Batch 15.[4] She, along with Megan YoungAlfonso MartinezCarlo Guevarra and her Star Magic batchmates, joined the cast of Star Magic PresentsAbt Ur Luv when it was revamped to Abt Ur Luv Ur Lyf 2 in 2007. She had a minor role in Sineserye PresentsNatutulog Ba Ang Diyos?
In 2008, she was cast as Chappy Girl in the TV series Volta, which was adapted from the Star Cinema film of the same name.
Mendiola was supposed to appear in Habang May Buhay. She was featured in the 2008 trailer of the show which was originally titled as Humingi Ako Sa Langit. The TV series, which was supposed to air in 2008, was cancelled, reshot and recast.[5]
In 2010, she had a guest appearances in George and Cecil, playing the love interest of Dino Imperial's Jun. Mendiola revealed that she was pulled out of Habang May Buhay and was cast as Christina in the TV series Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo instead.[6] Due to good feedback, her one week guest appearance in Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo was extended. She was later cast in Your Song Presents: Gimik 2010, playing the role of the reformed rebel teenager Jessy. Mendiola was supposed to appear in Kokey @ Ako, opposite Enrique Gil, but their characters were written off in favor of Melai Cantiveros and Jason Francisco.[7] She eventually returned as a recurring character in the last few episodes of Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo.[8]
She portrayed lead roles in Maalaala Mo Kaya's "Marriage Contract" episode[9] and in the "Kakambal Ko'y Manika" episode of Wansapanataym. Her biggest break is playing the title role of the ABS-CBN afternoon TV show Sabel.[10]
In 2011, when Sabel ended, Mendiola joined ASAP Rocks. She along with Empress SchuckEnchong Dee and Sam Concepcion are referred to as ASAP's "Dance Quad".[11][12] Earlier, she portrayed Isabel Valderama in Agimat: Ang Mga Alamat ni Ramon Revilla Presents: Bianong Bulag. In April, she joined Showtime as one of the guest judges and appeared as Risa in the Maalaala Mo Kaya episode, "Medalyon".[13][14] She recently played the role of Jackie Marasigan in the ABS-CBN teleserye, Budoy, opposite Gerald Anderson.[15] She will be also starring in the film The Reunion with Enrique GilXian Lim and etc. She is also set to star in the new PHR Romances Presents: Isla with Matt Evans and Matteo Guidicelli.

Sam Concepcion



Samuel Lawrence Lopez Concepcion (born October 17, 1992) in ManilaPhilippines, is a Filipino singerdanceractorhost and fashion model.[1]He emerged as the winner for the Big Division of Little Big Star's Season 1 in April 2006.[2] He is currently have a contract under STAGES and ABS-CBN's Star Magic. Concepcion started on a total of 12 theater roles and had various plays even at a young age, including the role of Edmund Pevensiein the local stage adaptation of The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe and Mr. Noah’s Big Boat. He has been in the role of Peter Pan for from 2002 until 2012. Aside from theater roles, he acted in seven movies including Way Back Home and Shake, Rattle & Roll 13. He acted in his first lead role on 2012 in the first Filipino musical-film entitled, I Do Bidoo Bidoo: Heto nAPO Sila!. He had his first role in television in ABS-CBN's Mga Anghel na Walang Langit, and his major break as Boy Bawang in the fantasy series, Super Inggo.
On 2007, Concepcion launched self-titled album under Universal Records, which was certified Gold by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry. He also launched two other albums Pop Class (2010), and Forever Young (2011). The latter was his biggest hit, hitting the charts at Number 1 for seven weeks in a row. On 2008, Concepcion was chosen by Dreamworks to sing the theme song of the animated movie, Kung Fu Panda, entitled, Kung Fu Fighting which was included in the Asian soundtrack album. With this project, Concepcion is the first Filipino artist to have collaborated with Dreamworks.
Concepcion has been an ambassador for many agencies and organizations. He was appointed by the Philippine Department of Education as the "Youth Role Model and Spokesperson" and National Book Development Board’s (NBDB) Get Caught Reading campaign ambassador in 2007. In 2008, Concepcion was then appointed by the Business Software Alliance as the Official Spokesperson of the Philippines for "B4USurf", "Youth Ambassador for Education and the Arts" in the 3rd District of Manila and World Vision's "Ambassador for Children".
Other accomplishments of Concepcion includes representative role by the Department of Tourism to the Korea World Travel Fair (2006). He was also chosen by the Philippine government to sing in front of the President of the Philippines, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and top world economic leaders during APEC's "Business Advisory Council Gala" Opening. He was even awarded by the United Nations Youth Association of the Philippines the prestigious UNAP Outstanding Youth Leader award given in Malacañan Palace in 2009.
